The Technical Application/Baker Specialist supports the daily operations of the Technical Center Department, reporting directly to the Technical Center Head. This role bridges technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration, focusing on:
Core Responsibilities
- Recipe Development & Testing: Create, test, and catalogue recipes for Bakersfield products; support R&D and Sales with application testing.
- Client Engagement: Conduct baking demos at bakeries and trade events; assist Marketing in seminars and workshops.
- Sales Enablement: Train sales staff on baking techniques and product applications; support dealer sampling and ideation.
- Event Support: Manage logistics and technical needs for trade fairs, demos, and marketing activities.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and IFS to fulfill sample requests, align on targets, and address customer feedback.
- Inventory & Equipment Oversight: Monitor supplies and ensure bakery equipment is maintained.
- Budget & Procurement Input: Track expenses, suggest cost-saving measures, and support purchasing negotiations.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of Food Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, or other relevant disciplines in the field of food science and nutrition
- Certified Bread and/or Pastry Chef with at least 4 years of hands-on working experience in related/similar industry
