Position Overview

The Technical and Communication Support Specialist at MPI is a crucial member of the organization's team, responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and effective communication of MPI's digital platforms. The primary focus of this role is to maintain and update MPI's website, manage its social media presence, and oversee Google Workspace. Additionally, the specialist will provide hardware and software support to ensure the organization's technological operations run efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, communication, or a related field.
• Proven experience in website management, preferably with Joomla or other CMS platforms.
• Proficiency in managing social media platforms and understanding social media analytics.
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace applications and administration.
• Experience in providing hardware and software support in a professional environment.
• Familiarity with web design principles, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
• Understanding of data protection regulations and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle a variety of technical challenges.
• Interest in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, or related fields is advantageous.
