Technical Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Staff shall be responsible for supporting the team on engineering management, engineering design, and research and development of power generation facilities and similar technologies which comprises of project planning, assuring the most cost-effective design, exploring new technologies to improve the system, support on the project execution to ensure the timely completion of the project and managing the facilities to optimize operational performance.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering Management

Assist on the design processes of the facilities associated with engineering and construction of the project.

• Ensure that the design and specification of the project are in conformance with SMC standards, national and international standards, and other applicable regulatory issuances and legislations.
• Ensure the timely completion of the reviews and approval of engineering design and drawings.

Provide assistance to site engineers and operators to ensure the optimum performance of the project from execution up to operation.

• Conduct site inspection to determine the actual site condition, identification of site issues and provide direction to site engineers.
• Ensure that BESS maintenance activities are done according to the approved manuals to optimize the operation of the facilities.

Provide assistance to other BESS support group in their planning stage which includes, identification of appropriate site location, recommended capacities, and provision of budgetary estimates for specific projects.

• Coordinate with NGCP to gather technical data that can be used for planning new sites projects and improvement of existing sites.

Monitor and provide report on the EPC and other support projects and review contract to be aligned with the technical requirement of the terms of reference.

Compliance Management

Aid in all relevant compliance requirements and policies of various stakeholders including regulators.

• Ensure that conformity to both internal and external processes are maintained accordingly.

Monitor the actual operational activities at site and ensure the technical acceptability of the facilities to provide continuous ancillary service to the grid.

• Ensure that the facilities will pass the Annual Performance Accreditation by NGCP.
• Ensure that the facilities is capable of declaring the daily availability of firm contracted capacity to NGCP.
• Ensure compliance of the BESS to technical standard requirements to guarantee its capability to provide ancillary services to the grid

Research and Development Management

Provide assistance on research, planning, and implementing new programs and protocols that can contribute to optimizing performance of the facilities.

• Ensure that the facility is equipped with the most advance and relevant tools and equipment that will streamline the operational performance and processes of the facilities.

JOB SPECIFICATION

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering courses.
2. Fresh graduates and newly board passers are encouraged to apply.
