About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Tech Leader to join our Philippines team and lead the technology delivery for our local business. This role will play a key part in building the local engineering capability, driving product development, and ensuring a smooth transition of development and operations responsibilities from the existing Beijing R&D team to the Philippines team.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, solid technical depth, and proven experience managing engineering teams in a fast-paced business environment. Experience in fintech, credit bureau, KYC, risk, or scoring-related products will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead the local engineering team in the Philippines, including hiring, team development, and organizational setup.
- Work closely with the existing Beijing R&D team to establish effective collaboration, knowledge transfer, and delivery processes.
- Gradually take over the development and operations responsibilities for related products from the Beijing team to the Philippines team.
- Lead the development of credit bureau / credit products in the Philippines market.
- Drive the product and technical evolution from Basic Tier to Advanced Tier, ensuring business goals, delivery quality, and scalability.
- Lead the gradual transition of KYC and Score product development and operations responsibilities for the Philippines market.
- Ensure stable, secure, and efficient product delivery and system operations to support local business growth.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with solid experience in team leadership or engineering management.
- Proven experience in building and managing engineering teams.
- Proven experience in credit bureau, credit scoring, lending risk, consumer finance, or closely related fintech domains.
- Strong technical background in backend systems, distributed systems, system architecture, and production operations.
- Experience leading cross-site or cross-region collaboration with remote teams.
- Familiarity with fintech, credit bureau, risk control, KYC, scoring, or related domains is highly preferred.
- Experience in transitioning products or systems between teams or regions is a strong plus.
