As a Team Leader, you will play a key frontline leadership role, supporting the Section Leader and Director of Operations in driving team engagement, workload balance, wellbeing, and performance. You will help create a connected, inclusive, and supportive environment where individuals can thrive, deliver excellent client outcomes, and grow their careers. This leadership role typically comprises 2025% of your day-to-day responsibilities and contributes to Jacobs purpose of creating a more connected, sustainable world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral care, supporting team wellbeing, engagement, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Assist with resource planning and facilitate workload balancing across the team.
  • Support the Section Leader and Director of Operations with communication, team focus, and reinforcing strategic priorities.
  • Review weekly timesheets and ensure accurate, timely submissions.
  • Conduct or support e3 career and performance conversations with team members.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and career support for junior and mid-level staff.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Advocate for and help bring to life Jacobs Culture of Caring, Inclusion & Diversity, and strategic initiatives such as Focus 20/100

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Proven experience in the power generation industrythermal, renewable, or combined-cycle preferred.
  • Previous leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, industry codes, and project management practices.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problemsolving skills.
  • Business awareness and interest in contributing to commercial, client, and resourcing decisions.
