Team Lead (AP / AR)

LOB-Specific Requirements (AP, AR, RTR, CI):

We are looking for experienced Team Leads with strong domain expertise in one or more of the following Finance & Accounting workstreams:

Accounts Payable (AP):

Invoice processing (2-way/3-way matching), vendor reconciliation, and payment processing

Handling invoice discrepancies, GR/IR reconciliation, and T&E claim

Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Accounts Receivable (AR):

Billing/invoicing, cash application, collections, and dispute management

Customer account reconciliation and aging analysis

Experience in handling deduction management and client follow-ups

Record-to-Report (RTR):

General ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations

Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities

Financial reporting, variance analysis, and audit support

Controlling/ Compliance & Internal Controls (CI):

Knowledge of financial controls, Compliance frameworks and audit processes risk assessment, SOX compliance and process documentation

Monitoring governance, internal audits and control effectiveness

General Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong understanding of Finance & Accounting operations across AP, AR, RTR, and CI
• Proven experience in managing teams within a BPO/BPM environment
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and process orientation
• Ability to manage escalations and stakeholder expectations

Education and Other Requirements:

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in Finance & Accounting (AP, AR, RTR, or CI) within BPO/BPM
• At least 2–3 years of experience as a Team Leader
• Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance, or any related course
• Experience in ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end operations for assigned F&A LOB (AP, AR, RTR, or CI)
• Lead and supervise team performance, including productivity, quality, and SLA adherence
• Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews
• Handle client and internal escalations with ownership until resolution
• Ensure compliance with financial processes, controls, and audit requirements
• Drive month-end close activities and meet critical timelines (for RTR roles)
• Monitor and improve process efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time
• Collaborate with Operations Managers and clients for process improvements
• Lead governance calls, reporting, and stakeholder communications
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma)
