Job Description:

• Assists in managing tax reporting, tax planning and tax compliance function.Oversees the completion of accurate tax reports to ensure management has complete picture of all the companies tax obligations. Must have working knowledge of the tax regulations, policies and culture at the national and local levels.

• Advanced knowledge of Philippine taxation
• Accuracy and attention to detail. Able to timely meet internal and/or external deadlines.
• Advanced organizational skills (planning, time management and file arrangement)
• Advanced verbal and written communications skills plus good listening skills
• Basic analytical, comprehension and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Finance
• Law school graduate and/or a Certified Public Accountantan advantage
• Has been in tax practice for at least three to four years with experience in handling tax audits and consultancy work
• Relevant work experience with a reputable audit/tax services firm an advantage

Tax Planning

• Regular review and update of tax treatments and tax saving strategies
• Coordination with Associations on studying and resolving tax issues that affect the business
• Review of tax provisions of contracts and applying for tax treaty relief when necessary
• Other Applications for BIR Rulings and Approvals
• BIR registrations and updates (Computerized Accounting System, Books of Accounts, Authority to Print, Official receipts and other invoices)
• Registration of Retirement Plans, Trusts, etc.
• Transfer Pricing

Handle day-to-day internal tax queries
