Job Description:
What your day-to-day will loo like:
- Organize the calculation of all taxes routines for all BR Entities, dividing the workload among the team, by planning ahead and implementing ways to fulfill the mission and the goals of the area efficiently and effectively
- Support the team in any queries relating to the day-to-day activities, tax treatment or any other doubts
- Responsible for guarantee the correct calculation of taxes due by BR Entities
- Responsible for guarantee the accurate filling of the tax returns and tax remittances to Tax Authorities
- Ensure the best, most efficient, and correct tax treatment for the operations of the group's companies in Brazil. Seek opportunities to reduce the tax burden and mitigate tax risks
- Make decisions based on data and numbers, measuring possible impacts
- Support the tax compliance team in day-to-day queries
- Work on cross-projects with the compliance team
- Ensure the best, most efficient (decisions based on data and numbers, measuring possible impacts) and correct tax treatment for the operations of the group's companies in Brazil
- Seek opportunities to reduce the tax burden and mitigate tax risks in day-to-day activities
- Support the tax planning team in day-to-day queries and work with them on cross-projects
- Support and demand the product team on new features, products, and improvements to ensure the correct tax treatment
- Lead tax projects with internal teams and ensure correct deliveries on expected timelines
- Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of tax compliance projects processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output
- Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals
- Resolve and escalate issues effectively, demonstrating a consistent and timely track record of deliveries
- Responsible for responding to internal tax inquiries and assisting business partners timely
- Lead with autonomy and independence in the mentioned responsibilities
- Empower and engage the team to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
- Build a good work environment and ensure the team has the tools to perform their work
- Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback from the team
- Coach and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
- Provide a healthy and inclusive work environment
- Guarantee technical, professional, and when necessary, personal support to the team to ensure they will be prepared to make high- quality deliveries in the long term.
Requirements:
What you need to take on this challenge:
- Completed bachelor's degree, preferably in law or accounting
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge
- Advanced English
- Experience with a significant amount of time in the tax compliance monthly routine.
