Job Description

I. Job Summary

Plan, elaborate and implement all tax programs and compliance requirements for all CHP companies in compliance with Philippines tax laws and regulations and CHP internal compliance requirements and policies.

II. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the tax calendar ensuring the preparation of all required information and timely submission
  • Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns covering quarterly and annual income taxes, value-added taxes, and other percentage taxes, fringe benefits tax, withholding taxes, and documentary stamp tax.
  • Ensures that the computation of tax liability is made in accordance with existing tax laws and regulations based on information provided.
  • Prepares for tax assessments and represents the company with regulatory bodies.
  • Provide advisory tax services to top management, ensuring compliance with country laws and regulations as well as CHP internal policies and Provide assistance to tax audits/inquiries by the BIR

III. Skills & Competencies:

Technical:

  • Ability to prepare, review, and file accurate tax returns (income tax, VAT, withholding, FBT, DST, etc.) within deadlines.
  • In-depth understanding of Philippine tax code, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) rules, and related government regulations.
  • Skill in evaluating tax implications of transactions and providing sound recommendations to management.
  • Competence in managing audits, preparing supporting documentation, and representing the company before the BIR and other authorities.
  • Identifies potential tax exposure areas and implements preventive measures.
  • Prepares tax reports, compliance updates, and communicates complex tax matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders

IV. Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy or related field. CPA-Lawyer preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years (for specialist) or 7–10 years (for manager) of progressive experience in tax compliance, reporting, and advisory
