Job overview:
Act as an advisor and subject matter resource for reputation, quality and risk management matters, providing sound, practical and timely advice to T&L personnel in the Philippines and other SEA geographies as required. This role suits a resilient, proactive and collaborative professional who is comfortable working independently within a regional, distributed team.
Key responsibilities includes:
- Work with the Philippine T&L Leader, SEA T&L Quality & Risk Leader to execute quality and risk plans and strategies;
- Develop and foster a consultation network and intelligent risk culture within the T&L practice in Philippine and SEA;
- Assist in developing policies, processes, tools and templates that enable T&L professionals in the Philippines and SEA to deliver client engagements efficiently and effectively while maintaining compliance with reputation and risk management policies, as well as legal and regulatory requirements;
- Provide consultation on queries raised by Philippine and SEA T&L personnel;
- Review legal documents on a daily basis, such as contracts, NDAs, engagement letters and bidding documents, and communicate with client legal teams to manage arising contractual risks;
- Review client and engagement acceptance and risk assessment processes on a daily basis;
- Track and monitor T&L personnel compliance with Firm policies, support evaluation of non-compliance under disciplinary policies and assist with related communications;
- Deliver online and offline risk management learning programs to Philippine and SRA T&L professionals;
- Manage work priorities independently, maintain regular communication with the SEA Quality & Risk team and escalate matters promptly where guidance or support is needed;
- Other tasks where required, to support the T&L quality and risk program.
Qualifications and Candidate Attributes
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant major, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent academic standing.
- At least 3 years of professional services experience, preferably in risk management, quality, compliance, legal, tax or a related advisory environment.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities, working under pressure and meeting deadlines, with the judgement to escalate issues early.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to identify and manage risks thoughtfully.
- Able to work independently in a local office while staying actively connected with regional colleagues through regular virtual collaboration.
- Demonstrates resilience, professionalism, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities, time-sensitive matters and periods of increased workloads.
- To be based in Manila, Philippines.
- Able to travel overseas when required.
Working Environment and Support
This is a mix of local/country and regional role within the SEA T&L Quality & Risk team. The successful candidate may be based in a local office with limited immediate team members in the same function, and will be supported through structured onboarding, regular check-ins, virtual collaboration, coaching and access to SEA Quality & Risk leaders and colleagues. The role requires independence, resilience and proactive communication, supported by regular guidance from the regional team leaders.
