Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting and specialized professional services industries.

We are seeking a highly strategic, client-facing Tax Consultant to join our growing Australian division. This role is designed for a technical expert who bridges the gap between complex Australian tax law and actionable business advisory. Moving beyond transactional compliance, you will actively manage client relationships, coordinate workflows, interface with regulatory authorities, and mentor junior accountants-making this a pivotal role for an ambitious professional looking to step into a leadership-track position.

Your Impact

  • Tax Whisperer: Assist in the preparation of tax returns, business plans, budget submissions, and finance proposals on behalf of clients-ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic value every step of the way.
  • Client Champion: Lead direct client engagement from initial meetings and proposal documents through to ongoing relationship management, resolving concerns and identifying new opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Authority Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for government bodies including the ATO, ASIC, and OSR, handling client matters with professionalism and precision.
  • Research Powerhouse: Conduct in-depth accounting, taxation, and business advisory research to deliver well-founded technical advice that clients can act on with confidence.
  • Workflow Maestro: Assist in managing the firm's total workflow-from weekly planning meetings and deadline-setting to delegating tasks and monitoring daily progress to keep the team operating at peak performance.
  • Culture Carrier: Champion employee loyalty and a positive firm culture, contributing to a workplace where people genuinely want to show up and do their best work.
  • Quality Guardian: Drive continuous improvement of work practices and quality control procedures, keeping the firm aligned with best practice standards and minimizing risk.
  • Mentor in Motion: Take an active leadership role in reviewing and supervising junior staff-providing detailed feedback, day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and career coaching that helps the whole team grow.
  • Special Projects Ace: Contribute to corporate advisory services and special projects including due diligence, letters of advice, and research assignments, plus lend a hand in performance evaluations and staff training seminars.

What You Bring

  • The Experience:Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Australian tax consulting within a public practice or corporate environment. Proven experience preparing tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts is a must-have.
  • The Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Commerce, or a related field. You have completed or are actively progressing towards your CA, CPA, or CTA qualifications.
  • Law & Compliance Expert: Solid, practical understanding of Australian tax laws including income tax, GST, FBT, and end-to-end compliance procedures.
  • Tech-Savvy Filer: Proficiency with tax compliance software such as Xero, HandiTax, or BGL, paired with a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • The Mindset: A detail-obsessed, proactive, and client-focused go-getter with a genuine hunger to keep learning. You have the sharp analytical skills to catch small details and the pressure-proof stability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Communication Prowess: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with a distinct talent for breaking down complex tax concepts into clear, trustworthy language for clients.

Why You'll Love It Here

We believe in rewarding high achievers with a work environment that fuels both professional growth and personal well-being.

  • Time for You: Enjoy 21 Total Annual Service Incentive Leaves, flexible to use for travel, emergencies, or anything you may need for your Me time.
