Job Description

The Tax Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring the organization's compliance with local, national, and international tax regulations. This role involves preparing and filing tax returns, managing tax records, advising on tax strategies, and liaising with tax authorities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in tax laws, and capable of handling audits and inquiries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file corporate, personal, and other tax returns accurately and on time

Ensure compliance with BIR and other government agencies (SSS, PHIC, HDMF, LGUs)

Monitor and manage tax payments, schedules, and documentation

Conduct tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities

Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure proper application

Advise management on tax implications of business decisions

Coordinate renewal of business permits

Assist in handling BIR examinations and special tax-related projects

Maintain accurate records of tax filings and payments

Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA certification (preferred)

Minimum 8 years of experience in tax compliance or accounting

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Knowledge of tax planning and strategy development

Team player with high ethical standards and professionalism
