Job Description

Tax Compliance Analyst

Job Purpose

Support the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of tax reporting and statutory obligations for assigned entities. Partner with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors to ensure regulatory compliance, maintain effective controls, and drive continuous improvement in tax reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Coordinate with tax advisors and global finance teams to ensure timely and accurate filing of direct, indirect, withholding, and other tax returns.
  • Review tax reporting data and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor compliance deadlines and proactively address risks or issues impacting tax filings.
  • Escalate inconsistencies in tax treatments, including withholding tax applications.

Tax Administration & Controls

  • Coordinate tax funding and payments to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Maintain complete and organized tax records, filings, and working papers in accordance with company and local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate retention and archiving of tax documentation.
  • Support tax treaty relief, exemption applications, and other compliance-related requirements.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Support

  • Serve as the primary contact for tax advisors and internal stakeholders on tax compliance matters.
  • Respond to queries and provide support for audits, tax inspections, and regulatory reviews.
  • Prepare analyses, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation as required.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve tax reporting processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Stay current with tax legislation and regulatory developments impacting assigned jurisdictions.

Other Duties

  • Support tax accounting, statutory reporting, and compliance projects as required.
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Financial Admin & Compliance Manager.

Qualifications

Required

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in tax compliance, tax reporting, or statutory reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of tax compliance processes and controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with international or multi-country tax compliance.
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience.
  • Shared Services, BPO, or multinational company background.
  • Experience working with external tax advisors and third-party service providers.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).
