Job Description

Responsible for ensuring full compliance with corporate tax laws and regulatory requirements by overseeing the implementation of tax planning, reporting, audits, and risk mitigation strategies while optimizing tax efficiency.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Independently applies Philippine and global tax laws in compliance tasks, ensuring accuracy in tax computations, cross-border transactions, and regulatory filings, identifies potential tax risks in both local and international operations, and collaborates with auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance.

•Manage tax compliance processes, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions, implement internal tax compliance controls, monitor regulatory updates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address tax-related compliance issues.

•Implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities, evaluate cross-border transactions, transfer pricing policies, and other tax optimization measures to reduce costs while maintaining compliance.

•Monitor performance indicators, perform complex data modeling and trend analysis based on historical data, to identify and address potential gaps in controls over financial reporting, and to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.

•Able to interpret financial trends to provide meaningful insights into the company's financial health.

•Able to perform complex financial reconciliation transactions. Has the ability to resolve discrepancies in various accounts.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or Business Management or any related field

Required Skills and Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance and regulatory roles, preferably within the BPO industry.

• Extensive experience in corporate tax compliance, tax audits, and regulatory reporting within the Philippines and global markets.

• Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws and familiarity with international tax regulations.

• Regulatory Engagement experience, including dealing with agencies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Local Government Units (LGUs), Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), and Board of Investments (BOI).

• Global Tax Compliance experience, including familiarity with international tax laws and cross-border transactions, is beneficial.

• Excellent knowledge of ERP and other accounting tools, specifically SAP, Oracle or Netsuite, and MS Office, particularly Excel

• Experience in filing corporate income tax returns, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and other mandatory tax filings for local and international transactions.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Has an excellent ability in business and data analysis, and preparation of accurate financial and statistical reports
