About The Role

The successful candidate will serve as a key partner to Finance, external auditors, government agencies, and business stakeholders to manage tax risks and ensure full regulatory compliance.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare, review, and file accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including:
- Income Tax
- Value Added Tax (VAT)
- Withholding Taxes
- Final Taxes
- Documentary Stamp Tax (DST)
- Other applicable tax returns and regulatory reports
- Ensure complete compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) requirements, deadlines, and tax mapping activities.
- Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and BIR issuances, and assess their impact on the business.
- Support the preparation of tax-related disclosures, schedules, and computations required for financial reporting.
- Analyze tax implications of contracts, transactions, and business initiatives.
- Lead and manage end-to-end BIR tax audits, including:
- Preparation and submission of documentary requirements
- Account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Coordination and representation during BIR discussions and meetings
- Resolution of tax audit findings and compliance matters
- Partner with internal and external auditors on tax-related reviews and inquiries.
- Guide on tax-related matters to internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and employees.
- Collaborate with regional tax teams, consultants, legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and government agencies on tax compliance requirements and issues.
- Participate in tax-related projects, including tax planning initiatives, tax refund claims, and due diligence activities.
- Drive the collection and completion of BIR Form 2307 from clients to support accurate tax reporting.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of vendor accreditation and supporting tax documentation.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date tax records, schedules, and compliance databases.
- Recommend process improvements that strengthen compliance controls and minimize tax exposure.
- Support business permit applications and renewals, and monitor real property tax obligations.
- Perform tax-related account reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
- CPA designation is highly preferred
- At least 3-6 years of experience in taxation, compliance, or corporate tax reporting.
- Hands-on experience in preparing, filing, and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and reports to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
- Proven experience managing end-to-end BIR tax audits, including document submissions, tax reconciliations, audit support, and direct coordination with BIR representatives
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR regulations
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong financial analysis and reconciliation skills
