Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely filing and payment of all corporate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and supporting schedules, including:
  • Income Tax
  • Value Added Tax (VAT)
  • Withholding Tax
  • Final Tax
  • Tax Registration
  • Documentary Stamp Tax (DST)
  • Any additional tax returns arising from business operations
  • Maintain compliance with annual, semi-annual, and quarterly reports/listings required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
  • Ensure all entities comply with BIR Tax Mapping requirements
  • Regularly monitor tax issuances and assess potential operational or strategic impact
  • Provide tax-related insights into the preparation of financial statements, including income tax disclosures and computations
  • Analyze local and foreign tax implications of negotiated contracts and agreements

Advisory, Coordination & Issue Resolution

  • Address internal and external tax-related queries from customers, suppliers, and employees
  • Liaise with regional tax officers, government agencies, consultants, and legal counsel on tax-related matters
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, resolving audit issues related to taxation
  • Lead or support special tax projects such as:
  • Tax planning
  • Claims for refund
  • Tax due diligence

Collection & Documentation

  • Achieve 100% collection of Certificate of Taxes Withheld (BIR Form 2307) from clients, in collaboration with Finance Account Executives and Collection Assistant
  • Ensure accurate and complete vendor documentation for accreditation, including independent verification/validation
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date tax-related data in the system

Operations & Compliance Support

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to minimize tax exposure
  • Handle the application and renewal of business permits and monitor real property tax obligations
  • Prepare account reconciliation and analysis for all tax-related general ledger accounts
  • Carry out other duties as directed by the immediate manager

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy (BSA)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role or industry

Technical and Core Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Strong multitasking abilities and efficiency in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
  • Excellent planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
