Tax Analyst plays a key role in managing tax compliance, risk, and advisory activities for the Philippines market. This role partners closely with Finance Directors, business stakeholders, and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting, strong governance, and alignment with Haleon's global tax strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, interpret, and advise on Philippines tax legislation, including transactional and indirect tax matters.
- Act as a trusted tax advisor to the business, providing guidance on tax implications for ongoing and new business activities.
- Support and manage tax audits, ad-hoc projects, and tax-related inquiries in collaboration with local third-party advisors.
- Identify, assess, and help mitigate tax risks and exposures, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Haleon policies.
- Partner with in-market Finance Directors to manage local tax risk and support the implementation of global tax strategies.
- Support tax aspects of financing, cash repatriation, and intercompany activities.
- Prepare and review tax account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and internal controls in line with Haleon guidelines and timelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filings (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders on tax-related matters.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and proactively communicate potential business impacts to relevant stakeholders.
Why You
Basic Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of Philippines tax legislation.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in tax, accounting, or audit.
- Prior exposure to tax audit processes is preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax, and audit requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office with strong written and spoken English skills.
