What are we looking for
Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years working for an Australian based Public Practice accounting firms required
- Experience working with Tax Returns for Sole Traders, Companies, SMSFs, and Trusts
- BAS, IAS, Financial Statemet preparation
- Xero and Xero Practice Manager
What will you do
- Preparation of individual and business tax returns (income tax) for a variety of clients.
- Preparation and lodgment of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and GST returns.
- Preparation of financial statements (for sole traders, partnerships, companies, trusts) as required.
- Routine bookkeeping duties — bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, data entries.
- Support with Corporate Secretarial services: issuing annual company statements, processing share transfers, director changes, and other company-detail updates using corporate-registry software (CAS or equivalent).
- Administration of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) — preparing and maintaining SMSF records using appropriate software (e.g. BGL).
- Daily admin support: assisting with bookkeeping and accounting tasks in Xero for clients and supporting principal partner as needed with ad-hoc tasks.
- Liaising with clients for information gathering, responding to queries, and ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
