The Role: Operations Team Lead

Imagine being the steady presence that helps virtual teams thrive, even when things get messy behind the scenes.

Someone's falling behind on performance, you're already coaching them through a plan. A client has new expectations, you've already briefed the team and adjusted their goals. A Remote Team Member (RTM) is feeling overwhelmed, you're the one who listens, supports, and makes sure they're not alone.

You don't just manage people, you guide them. You're the calm in the chaos. The voice of reason. The mentor who helps others succeed not just in their jobs, but in their careers.

As an Operations Team Lead, you'll work directly with a group of RTMs who rely on you to help them perform their best. You'll check in regularly, monitor their performance, and offer the kind of real support that turns average days into great ones. When things go wrong, you're the one who steps in. And when things go right, you're the one who helps them go even better.

Your leadership will shape how ClearDesk teams show up, serve clients, and stay strong, all from behind your own remote setup, with a team that actually has your back too.

What Your Days Might Look Like:

  • Team Leadership and Performance Support
  • Manage and support a team of RTMs, helping them meet goals and grow professionally
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones to review performance, offer feedback, and address concerns
  • Coach your team with a focus on clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure alignment with company policies and values
  • Operational Oversight
  • Monitor performance and attendance reports to identify trends and ensure compliance
  • Support smooth onboarding and offboarding transitions
  • Partner with internal teams including Recruitment, Training, and HR to improve processes
  • Handle employee relations issues, including investigations and escalations when needed
  • Engagement and Capability Building
  • Drive initiatives that promote engagement, retention, and team connection
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture where RTMs feel heard, supported, and motivated
  • Identify coaching opportunities and help your team develop critical skills

  • You've led teams before and know how to bring out the best in others
  • You're calm under pressure and know how to balance accountability with empathy

  • You're confident navigating conversations about goals, expectations, and performance
  • You're organized and proactive, with a knack for solving problems before they escalate
  • You've worked in remote setups and are comfortable leading through tools, not just in person
  • You value structure but aren't afraid to improve a process that isn't working
  • You're the kind of person others trust to step in, step up, and step back when needed
  • You are willing to work in a US time zone schedule.
  • You can secure the required technical setup, including:
  • At least a 720p HD webcam
  • A noise-canceling headset
  • A primary internet connection of at least 25 Mbps
  • A backup laptop, backup internet device, and backup power source
  • A main computer with at least Intel Core i5 (or equivalent) and 8 GB RAM
  • A backup computer with at least Intel Core i3 and 4 GB RAM
