Role Overview
The Talent Insight Assistant Manager plays a critical role in driving data-driven talent strategies by delivering actionable workforce insights, supporting talent acquisition and workforce planning, and enabling leadership decision-making. This role combines talent analytics, market intelligence, and operational coordination to improve hiring effectiveness, workforce planning, and overall talent outcomes.
This position operates at an advanced professional level, contributing to and leading initiatives, providing guidance to team members, and serving as a key point of contact for complex talent insight requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Insights & Analytics
- Analyze recruitment and workforce data to generate actionable insights on hiring trends, talent pipelines, and workforce gaps
- Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics to track key talent KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness)
- Interpret labor market intelligence and external benchmarking data to inform sourcing and workforce strategies
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve talent acquisition effectiveness and candidate experience
Talent Acquisition Support
- Partner with Talent Acquisition teams to support candidate evaluation and recruitment optimization efforts
- Identify trends in candidate pipelines and recommend improvements to sourcing and screening strategies
- Support job advertising strategies using data insights (channel performance, candidate engagement trends)
- Assist in building robust talent pools and targeted sourcing approaches for critical roles
Workforce Planning & Strategy
- Support workforce planning activities including demand forecasting and hiring projections
- Align talent insights with broader business and workforce strategies
- Monitor external market trends impacting labor supply and demand
- Provide analysis to guide long-term workforce and organizational planning
Operations & Process Improvement
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations of talent insight activities within the team
- Lead or participate in projects focused on improving talent analytics tools, processes, and reporting frameworks
- Deliver input into policies, standards, and best practices related to talent data management and reporting
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of HR and recruitment data
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders on talent insights and analytics inquiries
- Present findings and recommendations to HR leaders and business stakeholders
- Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior team members
- Share best practices and contribute to capability building within the team
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- Proven experience in Talent Acquisition, HR Analytics, Workforce Planning, or similar roles
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and insights generation within HR or recruitment functions
- Experience managing or coordinating teams or projects is preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Familiarity with HR systems and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
