JOB SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition and Retention Supervisor holds a pivotal role in attracting, recruiting, and retaining top technical talent and corporate professionals to drive the organization's growth and success. This multifaceted position involves sourcing, screening, and hiring technical professionals, alongside implementing retention strategies aimed at fostering a positive work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies customized to attract a diverse range of talent, including corporate roles and technical positions such as software engineers, data scientists, IT professionals, and other relevant roles within the organization.
- Utilize various channels, such as job boards, niche websites, professional networks, and industry events, to source qualified candidates.
- Screen resumes, conduct technical assessments, and perform in-depth interviews to evaluate candidates skills and fit for technical positions.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers and technical leads to understand their staffing needs, technical requirements, and team dynamics.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of technical candidates for current and future job openings.
- Ensure that all applicants receive feedback within one week from submitting their application.
- Source passive candidates through LinkedIn Search, encourage Employee Referrals, and utilize all available recruitment sources.
Retention Strategies
- Analyze turnover data quarterly to identify attrition trends and patterns.
- Provide actionable recommendations aimed at reducing employee turnover and improving retention rates.
- Develop and implement targeted retention strategies to increase engagement, satisfaction, and tenure of technical employees.
- Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions with technical staff to understand their needs, concerns, and career aspirations.
- Collaborate with the HR Director to address any issues or challenges affecting retention.
Professional Development:
- Participate in online training sessions and utilize available relevant training videos at least once per month to stay updated on the latest recruitment strategies, including techniques like Boolean searching.
- Allocate 1-2 hours weekly to mentor colleagues, sharing recruitment insights to facilitate smooth transitions, maintain business continuity, and strengthen organizational resilience.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics related to technical hiring, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate quality, and diversity metrics.
- Provide regular reports and insights to management on the effectiveness of technical recruitment efforts.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to optimize recruitment strategies and improve hiring outcomes.
- Conduct weekly touch base meetings with the HR Director and bi-weekly touch base meetings with Hiring Managers to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the recruitment process.
Project Management and Other Ad hoc Tasks:
- Consistently achieve a 100% completion rate for assigned projects, maintaining high-quality work standards, and adhering to the designated timeline and allocated budget.
- Undertake any additional tasks as necessitated by the needs of the business.
QUALIFICATION/COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or similar role, with a focus on technical hiring.
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or related HR functions.
- Strong supervisory or team leadership experience (minimum 2 years).
- Deep understanding of technical skills, technologies, and terminology relevant to software development, data science, IT, etc.
- Familiarity with technical assessment tools, coding challenges, and other methods for evaluating technical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical candidates and hiring managers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple technical requisitions simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to stay updated on the latest trends and developments in technical recruitment.
