Job Description

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist to join our growing People team.

This is a genuinely blended role, and while the main focus is on talent acquisition, we see this role growing to support

You will manage recruitment activities from the initial client or hiring-manager briefing through to onboarding, while also supporting the day-to-day employee experience across engagement, attendance, performance processes and general HR operations.

We are looking for someone who enjoys connecting great people with the right opportunities but is equally comfortable supporting employees, managers and clients throughout the employment lifecycle.

Talent acquisition responsibilities

In the talent acquisition component of the role, you will:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from receiving and clarifying hiring requirements through to candidate selection and offer management.
  • Partner with clients and hiring managers to understand role requirements, ideal candidate profiles and recruitment timeframes.
  • Write clear, accurate and engaging job advertisements tailored to the relevant role and platform.
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, social media, professional networks and industry groups.
  • Screen applications, conduct initial interviews and coordinate subsequent interview stages.
  • Maintain warm, timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Conduct structured reference checks and support offer negotiations.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated client requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including the collection and verification of required documentation.
  • Support recruitment campaigns, employer-brand content and employee stories.
  • Monitor recruitment activity and provide clear updates on candidate pipelines, time-to-hire and hiring outcomes.

HR generalist responsibilities

In the HR generalist component of the role, you will at times:

  • Serve as an approachable point of contact for routine employee, manager and client enquiries.
  • Support employee onboarding, orientation, regularisation and offboarding processes.
  • Assist with attendance monitoring, leave administration and timekeeping checks ahead of payroll processing.
  • Coordinate performance evaluations, employee check-ins and associated documentation.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition and culture-building initiatives across our remote workforce.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within our HR systems.
  • Assist with HMO administration, employee benefits and general employment documentation.
  • Support the implementation and consistent application of HR policies and processes.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, escalating sensitive or complex issues appropriately.
  • Help ensure employees and clients receive timely, professional and solutions-focused HR support.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements across recruitment, onboarding and the broader employee experience.

About you

You will ideally have:

  • At least three years experience across talent acquisition, recruitment or a blended recruitment and HR role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment.
  • Practical HR generalist experience supporting employees throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Experience working in a BPO, outsourcing or offshore staffing environment.
  • Experience supporting clients in Australia, Canada or similar international markets, with an understanding of their communication styles and service expectations.
  • Working knowledge of Philippine employment practices and HR processes.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding documentation, reference checks and pre-employment requirements.
  • Confidence working directly with clients, hiring managers, candidates and employees at different levels.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation, follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, job boards and LinkedIn.
  • The ability to manage competing recruitment and HR priorities in a remote working environment.
  • A warm, professional and solutions-focused approach.

Why join Handled

  • Permanent remote working arrangement
  • Day-shift schedule
  • HMO coverage, including one free dependent
  • Philippine public holidays
  • 20 service incentive leave days, plus one city holiday
  • Annual performance and remuneration review
  • A supportive and growing team where your contribution will have a visible impact
  • The opportunity to develop across both talent acquisition and HR rather than being confined to one area

If you are passionate about finding great people and creating a positive client and employee experience once they join, we would love to hear from you.
