Role: Systems / Virtualization Engineer
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Location: Philippines - Ortigas
Schedule: Morning Shift
Hybrid: This is a hybrid opportunity - 3 days in the office (Ortigas) and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premise high-performance compute infrastructure.
- Utilize Proxmox or similar virtualization platforms to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and implement compute solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing infrastructure for reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, systems processes, and network architecture.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools into existing virtualization platforms to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualification And Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience with Proxmox or similar virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM).
- Strong knowledge in designing and deploying on-premises high-performance compute infrastructure.
- Good understanding of Linux systems administration and networking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation purposes is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Non-negotiable Skills & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in systems engineering, virtualization, or IT operations.
- Experience with cloud services and integration (AWS, Azure, etc.) is desirable.
- Certification in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware Certified Professional) is an advantage.
