We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Systems Manager to own the architecture, integration, and optimization of our Microsoft Business Central ERP and Microsoft Project Operations platforms.
This is a high-impact, global role responsible for ensuring scalable system design and accurate financial data flow across our expanding organization.
Position Summary
The Finance Systems Manager will serve as the finance systems owner responsible for:
- Integration between Microsoft Project Operations and Business Central
- ERP architecture and configuration design
- Sales tax functionality and compliance structuring
- Sustainability module implementation
- Multi-entity financial system governance
This role requires both strong accounting knowledge and deep Microsoft Dynamics functional expertise.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Architecture & Governance
- Serve as primary finance systems owner for Microsoft Business Central
- Design and maintain scalable ERP structure across multiple global entities
- Configure posting groups, dimensions, workflows, and financial controls
- Ensure strong data governance and system documentation standards
Project Operations Integration (Project-to-Cash Ownership)
- Own integration between Microsoft Project Operations and Business Central
- Ensure accurate financial flow of:
- Time entries
- Billing and invoicing
- Revenue recognition
- WIP and deferred revenue
- Project-related expenses
- Maintain alignment across opportunity project invoice GL lifecycle
- Partner with Finance and Operations to improve project margin visibility
Sales Tax Configuration & Compliance
- Design and configure sales tax functionality within Business Central
- Support integration with external sales tax automation tools (if applicable)
- Ensure proper tax treatment across U.S. multi-state operations and expanding nexus footprint
- Maintain scalable tax configuration as the company grows
Sustainability Module Implementation
- Lead configuration of ERP structures supporting sustainability tracking and reporting
- Develop reporting architecture to support ESG and regulatory initiatives
- Ensure data integrity and traceability within sustainability reporting framework
Systems Integration & Optimization
- Manage integrations between:
- Project Operations
- Business Central
- Procurement platforms (e.g., Ramp)
- Payroll systems
- BI/reporting tools
- Identify automation opportunities across billing, tax, and reporting processes
- Strengthen system-based internal controls and reduce manual dependencies
Multi-Entity & Global Support
- Maintain ERP configuration supporting U.S., India, Philippines, and Mexico entities
- Ensure proper intercompany setup and consolidation alignment
- Support audit readiness related to system controls and revenue processes
Qualifications Required:
- 6+ years experience working with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP
- Experience with Microsoft Project Operations or project-based accounting systems
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition and project-based billing models
- Experience configuring ERP financial structures (dimensions, posting groups, tax setup)
- Experience in multi-entity environments
- Strong understanding of accounting processes (GL, AR, revenue, consolidations)
- Experience managing ERP integrations
Preferred
- Experience supporting U.S.-based companies
- Experience implementing or configuring U.S. sales tax within ERP
- Experience supporting sustainability or ESG reporting initiatives
- Experience in staffing, consulting, or professional services industries
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting platforms
