Responsibilities
- Lead System engineering works such as design and build, testing and acceptance of PIS Systems. Ensure design criteria for PIS systems are complied.
- Responsible to ensure implementation, deployment, commissioning and testing of PIS systems
- Lead deployment teams, testing and acceptance teams
- Act as primary interface for technical concerns between NEC Japan, Partners, vendors and the Customer.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders for the proper delivery of project deliverables
- Perform hardware installation, configuration and Power ON Self-Test (POST)
- Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Give root cause analysis on incidents
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers
- Prepare accurate and timely reports
- Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
- Provide assistance to the Sales and Product Management Team on customer demos and/or Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering, or other equivalent related courses.
- 3-5 years of technical experience Passenger Information System (incl PA systems) and implementation
- Good knowledge of system level monitoring, performance tuning
- Proficient in Windows and Linux Operating systems and productivity tools.
- Good communication skills, technical writing
- Good Leadership skills
- PA/PID Systems Engineer must have experience in PA/VA Design and have an understanding on:
- Public address (PA) and Background Music (BGM) System
- Emergency Voice Alarm (EVA) systems
- Line Audio Distribution
- IP-based audio networks
- Must have knowledge on Audio Engineering Fundamentals as follows:
o Sound Pressure Level (SPL) calculations
o Speaker Selection and coverage
o Acoustic considerations, Acoustic analysis and simulation tools
- Must have knowledge in:
o Fire alarm interface
o Paging console integration
o Redundancy and failover design
- Must have 3-5 practical experience in ELV/Audio/Communication Systems or similar fields.
