Systems Engineer - Mid and Senior

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and manage AWS/cloud production environments, responding quickly to minimise customer impact

Escalate and communicate production issues to key stakeholders

Troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve complex AWS system and infrastructure issues

Handle high-severity incidents impacting sites and services (24x7)

Develop and implement automation and tooling (CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform) with the SRE team

Work through the engineering team backlog

Support services pre-launch through technical reviews

Provide technical support for internal products, including investigation and issue resolution

Monitor and maintain systems and cloud infrastructure

Perform daily operational tasks, including maintenance and optimisation

Deploy, configure, and manage cloud-native solutions using GitLab CI/CD

Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and escalation procedures

Collaborate closely with Development and business teams to deliver high-quality support and service

Must-have:

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with AWS
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services (ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch and other AWS tools)
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS
• Working knowledge of Windows Server OS
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Ansible)
• Ability to follow instructions well and think critically
• Proactive in asking questions and problem-solving
