To ensure that the organization's financial and controlling processes are effectively supported, optimized and aligned with business requirements through SAP system.
To configure, maintain, and enhance the SAP FI/CO modules (Financial Accounting and Controlling) so that the organization's accounting, financial reporting, cost management and controlling processes are accurate, efficient, compliant, and support decision-making.
- Conduct interviews and meetings with key business users and stakeholders
- Analyze current financial and controlling business processes and workflows
- Identify gaps, pain points, and areas for process improvement
- Validate requirements with stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Maintain clear traceability between business needs and system design elements
- Translate business requirements into detailed SAP FICO solution blueprints
- Design end-to-end financial and controlling business processes and workflows
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within SAP FICO
- Ensure solution design aligns with SAP best practices and organizational policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solution design with other SAP modules
- Validate and review solution designs with business stakeholders and technical teams
- Continuously analyze system performance and recommend process optimizations post-go-live
- Configure the SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules to meet specific business requirements, ensuring optimal alignment with business processes.
- Perform unit testing of configuration changes and document the settings
- Prepare and transport configuration settings from development to quality and production environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP FICO with other modules and external systems.
- Validate cross-module financial postings
- Participate in integration testing (end-to-end scenarios) to confirm data consistency and process flow
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inter-module data transfer and reconciliation
- Maintain documentation of integration points, configurations, and test results
- Support process improvements to enhance integration efficiency and accuracy
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts covering all SAP FICO processes
- Coordinate and conduct Functional testing (FT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT) with business users
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issue resolution without side effects
- Maintain test documentation and obtain formal sign-offs from stakeholders
- Support end-users during UAT by providing guidance and troubleshooting
- Prepare end-user documentation and manuals.
- Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer workshops
- Support UAT and user onboarding during go-lives
- Resolve user-raised incidents or tickets (L1–L2 support levels)
- Develop and execute cutover plans (system setup, user readiness)
- Coordinate go-live activities across functional and technical teams
- Monitor system performance and business process stability immediately after go-live
- Provide immediate post-go-live user support and issue resolution
- Track and manage incident tickets and change requests arising post go-live
- Identify and implement system improvements based on user feedback and operational needs
- Resolve end-user issues within defined SLAs.
- Minimize user downtime and business disruptions.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues.
- Provide guidance on best practices and SAP usage.
- Reinforce training where necessary.
- Assist in other IT – related tasks or special projects assigned by superiors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields (or equivalent): Finance, Accounting , Business Administration , Information Technology (IT) , Computer Science
- SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting with SAP ERP
- SAP Certified Application Associate – Management Accounting with SAP ERP
- Professional accounting certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Relevant training or coursework in ERP systems, business process management, or financial regulations.
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO module implementation, configuration, and support.
- End-to-end SAP FICO implementations.
- Business requirement analysis, system design, and configuration of Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.
- Integration of SAP FICO with other modules.
- Preparation and execution of test cases, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Providing end-user training and post-go-live support.
- Working with cross-functional teams including technical consultants and business stakeholders.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance (preferred).
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and compliance standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
