Job Description

This position will be part of our PH Operations Technology Support Team to provide proactive and reactive support services for IT/OT environments and end-users. The Systems Administrator will ensure that devices remain in compliance with our policies and procedures. The Systems Administrator will play a key role in deploying and troubleshooting modern physical and virtual systems by applying their strong technical acumen to modern systems. This role will also need to interface with internal and external vendors to ensure consistent systems performance and operations across the corporate and field environments.

This position will report to Head of Remote Workforce Strategy. Sr. Systems Engineer, and the Director of Technology. This is a hybrid position, with most of the time spent working from home but with office attendance from time to time, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, and optimize virtual servers and storage systems.
  • Patch management automation and management.
  • Create, test, and ensure backup consistency and integrity on a regular basis.
  • Provide administration for all XaaS systems across both IT and OT environments.
  • Enable and configure advanced integrations for all XaaS (e.g., SSO, SCIM, etc.)
  • Design, build, and maintain automation tools or scripts.
  • Intermediate network troubleshooting requiring knowledge of both the OSI and TCP/IP models.
  • Basic cyber-physical security troubleshooting and security hardening practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations & Maintenance teams to maximize plant uptimes.
  • Enforce policies and procedures across all IT and OT systems.
  • Ensure technical security compliance is strictly followed for all IT and OT systems
  • Drive asset discovery to provide distilled documentation for our internal teams
  • Document processes and procedures across the IT and OT environments
  • Deploy and update software and hardware in the IT and OT environments
  • Monitor systems infrastructure using a suite RMM tools
  • Assist end-users with root-cause analysis of incidents and problems to final resolution
  • Train and direct users on the use of corporate software and hardware

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in high-volume internal IT, MSP, MSSP environment, or equivalent technical environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or technical certifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline or, at a minimum, is working toward the same
  • Relevant technical experience with Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization technology
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.) and their deployment.
  • Experience with RMM, MDM, and IdP
  • Familiarity with networking, subnets, WAN, and LAN.
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (Powershell, Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Familiarity with computer networking (TCP/IP, OSI, RS232/485, Routing/Switching, and Wireless).
  • Excellent written and verbal skills are required.
