Role: File Services M365 Migration Specialist
Job Summary:
The File Services M365 Migration Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of Online Workspace M365 apps and the File Services environment, as well as performing data migrations from file shares to the M365 environment (SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams). The position requires a responsible, self-motivated, well-organized individual with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while adapting quickly to rapidly changing priorities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Good understanding of the implementation of file share permissions and NTFS folder permissions, based on proper use of File Services best practices, as recommended by Microsoft
- Strong technical experience with AD Domain Controllers and performing DFS links and SFTP configurations
- Thorough functional understanding and ability to configure Azure AD Enterprise Applications Admin Consent in fulfillment of M365 Software Integration Requests
- Familiar with enabling O365 application licensing (SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, etc.)
- Working knowledge of ADFS, AADC, GPO, AD, LDAP Queries, gMSA and PowerShell Scripting
- Generate reports for the Periodic Access Review (PAR) on a quarterly basis for approval of users with authorized access to data in the File Services environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Provide support for release deployments in a 24x7 operations environment as required
- Produce technical and operational documentation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant experience with demonstrated ability or working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and File Services.
- Must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly to a wide audience
- Demonstrate a customer focused attitude
- 1+ Service Now or equivalent ticketing system experience
- Must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly to a wide audience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 products, including Enterprise Application Integration, SharePoint Online, Azure AD, AADC, ADFS and other Microsoft 365 related workload.
- Demonstrated ability or working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and PowerShell or various scripting languages to automate and implement solutions at an advanced level.
- Experience creating documentation of technical procedures, runbooks, monitoring and data migration plans.
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent certification.
- ITIL experience (preferred)
- Ability to work in a 24x7 on-call after hour rotation environment
- Good understanding of change management
