System Engineer

The System Engineer shall manage the system in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the system which includes for accounts and access, logs, change, backup, incident, problem and vulnerability management.

What will you do

System Administration.

The administrative activities include:

• Administer user, computer accounts, and group policies.
• Respond to users on a timely manner with regards to their queries on system usage and issues.
• Generate, review and backup of system logs.
• Raise change and service request and prepare documentation for approval to perform any system configuration change or provide IT service to user.
• Respond, investigate, resolve and prepare documentation for any system incidents.
• Perform backup of the system according to the frequency stipulated in the SOP.
• Track vulnerabilities and the availability of patches, assess and patch all system hardware and software components timely.
• Manage and maintain all system components assets and configurations.

Technology Exploration.

• recommend system upgrades to meet new requirement and grow.
• propose assess and implement new improvement for system operations.

The ideal candidate should possess

• Due to government project sensitivity, we will only consider Singapore Citizen
• Technical experience configuring, troubleshooting and supporting hardware and software client computing platforms, with an emphasis on Microsoft environments.
• Experience in server administration in Windows Server and RedHat Enterprise Linux.
• Good understanding of AD policy management and familiarity with PowerShell, Visual Basic script and batch files.
• Demonstrated experiences in patching operating system and software using SCCM or other deployment tools.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating system security and encryption, including capabilities, vulnerabilities, and batch implementation.
• Resourceful, independent, responsive and pro-active.
• Good team player, responsible and able to collaborate well with the team.
• Highly motivated, detail orientated individual
• 1-5 years of relevant experience needed.
