GetMeds Philippines, Inc. / 2MG Incorporated is looking for a Web/System Developer who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving internal web-based systems that support our pharmacy operations, order processing, inventory management, POS, and business process automation.

About The Role
The Web/System Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and continuously improving web-based systems that support GetMeds Philippines growing pharmacy and business operations.
The role will focus on developing an integrated in-house platform that streamlines the entire order process—from order placement and validation to fulfillment, dispensing, delivery/pickup tracking, inventory visibility, and POS transactions.
The successful candidate will work closely with different departments to understand actual business processes and transform these requirements into functional, reliable, and scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web-based applications for pharmacy operations, order management, inventory, and POS.
- Build an end-to-end order management workflow from order placement and validation through fulfillment, dispensing, delivery, or pickup.
- Develop and integrate POS functionality with inventory and sales records.
- Design databases, APIs, and system integrations required to connect different business applications.
- Develop automation solutions that reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure system security, reliability, data integrity, and compliance with applicable data privacy requirements.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues affecting business operations.
- Work closely with Pharmacy Operations, STC Division, Hospital Division, HR/Admin, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional technical solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, system optimization, and improved user experience.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, user guides, and change logs.
- Provide technical support and user training to pharmacists, cashiers, order processors, and other end users.
- Support system testing, deployment, implementation, and rollout.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve coding productivity, debugging, documentation, research, workflow automation, and system development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2–4 years of relevant experience in web application or system development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, PHP, Python, or similar.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL.
- Knowledge of API development, system integration, and database management.
- Experience using Git and basic deployment/DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems, payment processing, inventory management, order management, or e-commerce platforms is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of web security, data privacy, and secure software development practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into functional systems.
Ai-assisted Development Skills
The candidate must be comfortable and highly proficient in using AI-powered development and productivity tools.
- Proficient in using AI tools such as Claude AI, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or other comparable AI-assisted development tools.
- Ability to effectively use AI tools for coding assistance, debugging, code review, technical research, documentation, system planning, automation, and problem-solving.
- Ability to create effective prompts and instructions for AI tools to generate, analyze, improve, and troubleshoot code and technical solutions.
- Ability to critically review, test, validate, and improve AI-generated code rather than relying on AI output without technical verification.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adopt emerging AI tools and technologies that can improve software development and business process automation.
