System Analyst

About The Role

The Systems Analyst is responsible for gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements to identify opportunities for improving business operations and processes. The role involves liaising with stakeholders to understand the organization's structure, policies, and operations, and recommending solutions that help achieve organizational goals.

The Systems Analyst also prepares the documentation and analysis required to deliver digital products and experiences, including user stories, while working collaboratively using agile and lean methodologies. In addition, the role plays a critical part throughout the software delivery lifecycle, from functional specification and development to testing.

How You'll Contribute

• Elicit detailed functional requirements from product managers/owners, users, and key stakeholders and ensuring they are documented to a detailed standard in user stories for delivery.
• Identify dependencies, risks and issues as it relates the requirement throughout delivery.
• Contribute to discovery and facilitate grooming and user-story breakdown sessions.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager, Tech Leads, designers, developers, and internal stakeholders throughout solution design and through development.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specs for engineering.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured, scope is controlled, and expectations are met.
• Creates and maintain high-quality business analysis artifacts, including specifications, user story, etc.
• Identify the risks associated with the proposed solution as well as the risk for not implementing the solution.
• Effectively communicating requirements to stakeholders, managing conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and project team members remain in agreement on solution scope.

What We're Looking For

• Typically, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Systems Analyst or a related field is required for this role
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field is typically required, while a Master's degree or higher is preferred
• With experience Systems Analysis
• Financial Services industry experience is a plus
• Exposure to Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Process flow and diagram experience
• IT development experience is a plus
• Can read API request and response
• Experience writing functional specifications and user stories
• With exposure in integration, migration and data mapping
• Experience working in technology enabled change programs/projects
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to interface and build relationships with business stakeholders
• Advanced writing skills
• Good interpersonal and strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines or cross-functional teams
• High level of accountability
• Self-starter
