System Analyst, BAU - Web Platform (Public Sector)

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to manage business-as-usual (BAU) operations, drive system enhancements, and act as the key liaison between business users and IT teams within a government agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Support

• Oversee day-to-day BAU operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability
• Act as the primary point of contact for business users on system issues, service requests, and enhancements
• Manage and prioritise incidents, service requests, and change requests in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs)
• Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution of system issues in collaboration with IT teams, vendors, and the Government Technology Agency

Governance & Data Management

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and proper usage across the system
• Enforce governance and compliance with relevant policies
• Ensure adherence to data protection requirements under the Personal Data Protection Act
• Drive data quality, reporting, and analytics to support policy-making and operational insights

Enhancements & Documentation

• Recommend continuous improvements
• Support enhancements and releases, including requirement analysis, testing, and deployment coordination
• Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working with government agencies preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage vendors and support service delivery in an SLA-driven environment
• Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• Prior experience independently managing IT projects within a government agency, either as a Project Manager or in a double-hatting Business Analyst/Project Manager capacity
• Proficiency in frontend web development using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with experience collaborating with business users, UX designers, and developers to deliver responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications
