System Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for a System Administrator responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and optimal performance. The role involves configuring servers, monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patch management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and access policies.
• Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Support infrastructure components such as servers, storage, and networking systems.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to support business and technical requirements.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Typically requires 2–5 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure support roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Familiarity with system monitoring and performance tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices and system hardening.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  
  

Good To Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified, or Linux certifications are a plus.
• (Hands-on) Demonstrate experience in setting-up/configuring/troubleshooting of Kubernetes and Docker containers using infrastructure as code (Terraform and Ansible)
• Configuring and maintaining build pipelines using Argo CD (or Jenkins, Bamboo)
• Bash scripting and automation
