Your Role
As a System Administrator, you will:
Monitor, maintain, and support server environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
Manage and support cloud services, including Windows Server, virtual desktops, networking, firewalls, file servers, web servers, VPN tunnels, backups, and recovery processes.
Deploy, update, and maintain in-house applications and services for new and existing clients.
Provide support for Microsoft Windows Server services such as IIS, Remote Desktop Services, and Print Services.
Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating when necessary, while ensuring minimal downtime.
Document technical processes, workflows, and configurations for operational continuity.
Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend work and 24/7 on-call rotation as needed for critical issue resolution.
Maintain a secure, quiet work environment with stable internet and a compatible mobile device for multi-factor authentication.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related disciplines, or equivalent work experience
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, features, and administration
Solid understanding of network infrastructure and terminology (switches, gateways, firewalls, TCP/IP, VLANs)
Experience supporting file shares, authentication, backups, antivirus, virtualization, and cloud computing
Proficient in troubleshooting, project execution, and technical communication
Strong documentation skills and process-oriented mindset
Preferred Skills/expertise
Experience with automating administrative and operational tasks
Ability to manage VPN tunnels, firewall rules, and other security configurations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders
Commitment to maintaining high standards for system performance and security
