Job Summary
The
Syndicate and Distribution Officer assists the Syndicate and Distribution Head in ensuring that the various capital market offerings of SB Capital Investment Corporation are widely placed/distributed in a timely and efficient manner consistent with the company's thrust of fully selling down capital market products while satisfying customer requirements.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Deal Distribution/Client Relationship Management
- Assists in increasing distribution capacity /throughput though all distribution channels within and outside of the bank group
Analytical and Critical Thinking
- Helps develop strategies that would further improve and enhance the company's existing distribution capabilities
- Active participation in the deal proposals (i.e., pricing, structure, market demand, among others)
Project/Program Management
- Promotes a capable and pro-active syndicate and distribution team that will sell and market SB Capital originated securities.
- Assists in ensuring that the selling and distribution activities, including but not limited to, marketing, coordination with the different bank units, booking of investments, documentation of sale, settlement) are performed/undertaken in an orderly, timely and efficient manner.
- Obtains market information and investor views while liaising with both the IB Origination Team, FISD-Treasury and/or other relevant distribution channels, in order to formulate the recommendation to the clients.
- Assists in developing a market or a base of investors/funders for SB Capital's capital market transactions.
Effective Communication Skills
- Promotes coordination with FISD-Treasury and/or other relevant distribution channels, to take the lead in the placement/sale/distribution of the various capital market offerings of the SB Capital to qualified institutional investors and retail clients of SBC in the primary and/or secondary market.
- Assists on determining pricing, underwriting amount, target investors and the strategy required to raise the amount of money that the issuer needs.
- Assists in the book building process, liaising with the FISD and/or SB Equities as well as QIBs to ensure that investors submit orders into the book.

- Challenges vary across deals and environments. As such, he or she needs to be creative and have a solid understanding of the environment under which they operate in to be able to overcome challenges.
Deal Execution (Secondary)
- Assists in analyzing, evaluating and executing investment banking deals and other related tasks.

Job Qualifications
Years of Related Experience: 2 years and up
Educational Attainment/Required course (if applicable): Bachelor's / College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Marketing
Certification / Professional License: Not Applicable; but Fixed Income and Equity SEC certification/license will be an advantage
