Job Description

The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Sustainability Specialist to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is crucial for strengthening The Medical City's ESG data governance, analytics, and reporting capabilities. The role ensures accuracy, integrity, and actionable insights from sustainability data to support compliance, board reporting, and strategic decision-making.

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Supporting in developing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies and procedures, as well as in analyzing proposed actions to be socially and environmentally sustainable and compliant with internationally recognized best practices, and supporting in defining the ESG strategy; work on implementing and reporting on the ESG strategy

Who Are We Looking For

An effective Sustainability Specialist must possess the following skills:

- Sustainability: Follow the organization's sustainability policies and procedures in order to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instructing the team in sustainable working methods; identify instances of unsustainable, adherent behavior within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate

- Environmental, Social, and Governance: Follow the organization's environmental, social, and governance policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace

- Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats.

- Insights and Reporting: Extract and combine data to generate standard reports

- Regulatory Compliance Management: Carry out a wide range of compliance monitoring activities and give basic advice on compliance and regulatory requirements

- Audit Compliance: Carry out specified audit activities and draft reports of findings, including recommended corrective actions, for review by the lead auditor.

- Business Requirements Identification: Support collection of business requirements using document analysis and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly.

- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.

Ideally, a candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level of Environmental Science, Sustainability, Climate Studies, or Industrial Engineering with general experience of dealing with the majority of situations to advise others (over 3-6 years) of sustainability experience.
