The Sustainability Officer II is responsible for contributing technical and subject matter expertise for the successful delivery of professional/consultancy services under ADEC Innovations Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) engagements.
- Integration with ESG PS. Integrates with the ESG Professional Services Team headquartered in Irvine, CA and gains familiarity with ADEC Innovation's business pillars, services, and standards.
- Support in Project Management. Collaborates effectively with project team members and ensures that assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Training. Undergoes in-depth CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) training and other ESG-related training programs under various ADEC team members to deliver client-ready output.
- Corporate Sustainability Reporting. Assists in the writing requirements of client sustainability reports and conducts in-depth research across an array of ESG topics to craft accurate and engaging publication materials for clients.
- Data Management and Analysis. Performs and verifies data calculations related ESG (e.g., GHG Emissions Inventory and Verification, Energy and Water Usage and Intensity, etc.) to aid clients in understanding their ESG impacts
- Communication. Communicates effectively and contributes meaningful feedback with internal and external partners.
- Strategy and Business Development. Supports the company's strategy and business development pillars through ad-hoc tasks.
- Client Management. Interacts directly with clients, ensuring clear communication on deliverable outputs, requirements, service level agreements, and mutual commitments and expectations.
- Compliance to Company Policies and Service Level Agreements. Strictly adheres to company rules and regulations.
- Ad hoc. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA Graduate, preferably in Environmental Sciences, Planning, and Management; Ecology, Engineering, Development, or any other related courses with relevant exposure to Sustainability; Master's degree in Sustainability or related fields is an advantage
- At least 4 years of experience in relevant or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in stakeholder/client management; actual experience in Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSR) and Environmental Impact Reporting (specifically, as it pertains to carbon emissions, water, and forestry) is a plus.
- At least 1 year experience in GHG Accounting
