About Food & Beverage Solutions

We have launched a new platform called Food and Beverage Solutions, part of our ingredients and solutions reporting unit. This platform consolidates our current category solutions capabilities and innovation infrastructure. We support customers in developing new consumer concepts and application solutions at our four customer solution centres in Amsterdam, Bangalore, Chicago, and Singapore. Food and Beverage solutions leverages the strengths of our five product platforms, including their global and sustainable supply chain capabilities, a complementary portfolio of high-quality food and ingredients, and extensive ingredient expertise. This enables us to address a diverse range of customer requirements in the rapidly evolving Food and Beverage industry. Overview of the role:

The Supply Chain Manager will take full ownership of the end-to-end supply chain for the factory in Bulacan — from strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships to inventory control, warehousing, and finished goods movement. This critical role combines commercial acumen with strong operational discipline to ensure material cost competitiveness, supply reliability, and overall efficiency of production and logistics operations. The position works in close partnership with the Finance Manager, Plant Manager, and regional supply chain teams to align material strategies with business goals, growth plans, and factory realities.

This role will initially report into the Plant Manager and, over time, will transition to report directly to the Business Head in PH. The initial reporting into the Plant Manager is due to the role initially being very heavily plant linked. This initial reporting structure should ensure faster day to day decisions on production scheduling versus raw material calls, tighter linkage to line trials and technical specs, and clear factory level accountability on inventory and supplier performance.

Once the plant is stable and ways of working are embedded, reporting will shift directly to the Business Head which allows for more actively managed category strategy and margin while retaining the operational agility built in the initial stages.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management:

• Lead sourcing strategies for all raw materials — spices, flavor compounds, carriers, and packaging etc — focusing on quality, cost optimization, and long-term supply stability.
• Conduct direct supplier negotiations where required, in coordination with ofi regional procurement and the Wills Philippines team.
• Secure commercial advantages through aggregated buying, local substitution, and supplier collaboration on cost-down initiatives.
• Maintain a proactive view of commodity markets, FX trends, and logistics costs to identify future risks and opportunities.
• Drive supplier scorecards, ensuring OTIF delivery, adherence to food safety standards, and pricing consistency.

Material Cost Analytics & Margin Support:

• Work with Finance to model raw material cost structures and their impact on product margins.
• Build a monthly cost tracker to highlight price movements, deviations from budget, and inflationary trends for key inputs.
• Anticipate cost risks by maintaining forward visibility on global spice and ingredient markets.
• Partner with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure costing models used for customer quotations reflect true landed cost and maintain healthy contribution margins.
• Lead structured cost-reduction programs, including consolidation of SKUs, supplier rationalization, and freight/load optimization.

Operations & Supply Chain Execution:

• Oversee the full inbound-to-outbound supply chain including procurement, materials planning, production scheduling, inventory management, warehousing, and dispatch.
• Translate sales forecasts and production plans into accurate material demand projections; maintain clear coverage positions.
• Drive efficient plant scheduling to minimize changeovers, ensure full-batch utilization, and avoid raw material obsolescence. This will be done in cohort with the Plant Manager.
• Implement best practices in warehouse layout, FIFO material flow, and internal logistics for higher productivity and traceability. This will be done in cohort with the Plant Manager.
• Establish KPIs and daily routines for material availability, dispatch accuracy, and logistics turnaround times. This will be done in cohort with the Plant Manager.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner closely with Finance on cost tracking, purchase forecasting, and supplier payment planning.
• Collaborate with Regional Supply Chain (Singapore) to align local purchasing with group strategies and leverage regional contracts.
• Support the Plant Manager in operational planning and optimization of raw-to-finished material flow.
• Provide timely reports and insights to the Business Head on supply risk, raw material cost position, and inventory exposure.

• Raw material cost reduction vs baseline and budget
• Forecast accuracy (raw material vs production vs sales)
• Working capital and inventory turnover performance
• Supplier cost competitiveness and reliability
• Manufacturing cost-to-serve and logistics efficiency metrics
• On-time, in-full dispatch performance

Qualifications & profile:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Food Technology; MBA preferred.
• At least 7 years of supply chain, procurement, or operations experience in food manufacturing, ideally within flavorings, seasonings, or ingredients blending.
• Demonstrated success in cost optimization, supplier negotiation, and operational planning.
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel/ERP (SAP or equivalent) proficiency for data modelling and forecasting.
• Sound understanding of warehouse operations, inventory dynamics, and logistics cost drivers.
• Effective communicator with cross-functional teams, capable of balancing strategic objectives with operational realities.
• Adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-scaling manufacturing environment.
