Job Description

About the Role

The Supply Chain Management Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring that sourcing and purchasing activities meet required quality standards, specifications, lead times, cost objectives, and approved purchasing procedures. The role will also support domestic logistics operations in coordination with third-party logistics providers and work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure efficient supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories or commodities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Manage RFQ/RFP processes, quotation analysis, supplier negotiations, and selection.
  • Process purchase requests, purchase orders, and supplier requirements.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve improved pricing and delivery terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, accreditation, and risk management.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations and support supplier performance improvement initiatives.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and total cost of ownership analysis.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, Logistics, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, vendor information, and documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitor SCM KPIs and analyze performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support procurement systems and vendor database management.
  • Assist in resolving system and process-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, guidelines, and work instructions.
  • Support change management, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of procurement and logistics processes.
  • Strong analytical and data analytics skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of supplier risk management and vendor relationship management.
  • Proficient in MS Office, procurement systems, and e-bidding platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement tools.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement is an advantage.
