Job Description
The Supply and Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring the consistent availability of compliant, high-quality materials and products for the Companys operations. The role integrates procurement, supplier management, quality assurance, and food safety compliance, ensuring that all inputs and processes meet the Companys standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
Procurement, Supply Planning, and Inventory Coordination The Officer shall manage the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, ensuring continuity of supply, cost efficiency, and alignment with production and sales requirements. This includes supplier coordination, price negotiation, and maintaining optimal inventory levels in accordance with operational demand.
Supplier Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance The Officer shall oversee the accreditation, documentation, and performance monitoring of suppliers, ensuring that all partners comply with company standards and applicable laws, including Republic Act No. 10611 and regulations of the Food and Drug Administration Philippines. This includes securing and maintaining required certifications, product specifications, and compliance documents.
Quality Assurance and Incoming Inspection The Officer shall ensure that all incoming materials and products undergo proper inspection and verification against defined quality standards. This includes enforcing acceptance and rejection protocols, monitoring product specifications, and ensuring that only compliant goods are approved for use or distribution.
Food Safety Systems and Quality Management Implementation The Officer shall support the implementation and continuous improvement of food safety and quality systems, including HACCP and GMP. This includes monitoring critical control points, maintaining documentation, ensuring traceability, and supporting certification and regulatory compliance requirements.
Non-Conformance Management, Documentation, and Audit Support The Officer shall manage non-conforming materials and quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and maintain complete and audit-ready documentation. The Officer shall also support internal and external audits, ensuring readiness for inspections and timely resolution of findings.
Job Requirements
The Applicant should possess the following qualifications and skills to be considered for the role:
Educational Background Must have a Bachelors Degree in Food Technology, Biology, Food science or any related field. FCSO training is a plus.
Knowledge in Food Safety and Compliance Must have basic knowledge of food safety standards, including Republic Act No. 10611, and familiarity with the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration Philippines. Background in HACCP and GMP is an advantage.
Technical Skills Must understand basic procurement processes, supplier coordination, inventory handling, and quality inspection of products.
Attention to Detail and Organization Must be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining proper documentation and records for operations and compliance.
Communication and Work Attitude Must have good communication skills, be reliable, and able to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
