We are looking for a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our global team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of electronic component suppliers across Asia, driving supplier quality improvements, conducting supplier audits, resolving quality issues, and supporting new supplier and product validation activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct supplier process and quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Lead supplier problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and supplier claim management.
- Review and manage PPAP documentation to ensure supplier readiness for production.
- Support APQP activities and supplier component validation for new product introductions.
- Evaluate and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor supplier quality KPIs, analyze performance trends, and prepare quality reports.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and other stakeholders to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while ensuring consistent quality performance.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or a related quality role.
- Proven experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience managing electronic component suppliers.
- VDA 6.3 Process Auditor Certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of PPAP, supplier claims management, and supplier quality processes.
- Experience with APQP, PFMEA, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to travel within Asia approximately once per month.
