Role Description The Supplier Quality Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Calamba, responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet Acbel's quality standards and support reliable, sustainable products. Day-to-day activities include conducting supplier evaluations and audits, monitoring supplier performance, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. The role involves developing and maintaining supplier quality plans, reviewing incoming materials and components for compliance, and working closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement. The Supplier Quality Engineer also participates in root cause analysis, drives preventive measures, and contributes to quality documentation and reporting in line with company and industry requirements.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Quality to assess and develop suppliers in line with organizational standards.
• Candidates should possess skills in Supplier Quality Management and Quality Management to establish, maintain, and improve supplier quality systems and processes.
• Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to inspect materials, analyze data, and ensure conformity to specifications.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and specifications, preferably in electronics or power solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis abilities, with familiarity in tools such as 8D, FMEA, and SPC.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards and systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and experience in a similar supplier quality or quality engineering role is an advantage.
