Job Description

The Non-Food Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations, merchandising, and sales performance of non-food categories in retail stores. They ensure product availability, proper display, compliance with standards, and excellent customer service to drive sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Display

  • Supervise product placement, signage, and promotional displays for non-food items.
  • Ensure shelves are well-stocked, organized, and aligned with planograms.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and suppliers for replenishment.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and manage shrinkage/loss prevention.

Sales & Performance

  • Track sales performance of non-food categories and implement strategies to meet targets.
  • Support promotional campaigns and seasonal sales events.

Team Supervision

  • Lead and train store staff assigned to non-food sections.
  • Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and monitor performance.

Customer Service

  • Ensure staff provide excellent service, assisting customers with product inquiries.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns related to non-food merchandise.

Compliance & Standards

  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of non-food sections.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 35 years in retail operations, preferably in non-food categories.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of merchandising, inventory systems, and sales reporting.
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer service orientation.
