The Non-Food Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations, merchandising, and sales performance of non-food categories in retail stores. They ensure product availability, proper display, compliance with standards, and excellent customer service to drive sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising & Display
- Supervise product placement, signage, and promotional displays for non-food items.
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked, organized, and aligned with planograms.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and suppliers for replenishment.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and manage shrinkage/loss prevention.
Sales & Performance
- Track sales performance of non-food categories and implement strategies to meet targets.
- Support promotional campaigns and seasonal sales events.
Team Supervision
- Lead and train store staff assigned to non-food sections.
- Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
Customer Service
- Ensure staff provide excellent service, assisting customers with product inquiries.
- Handle escalated customer concerns related to non-food merchandise.
Compliance & Standards
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of non-food sections.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
- Experience: 35 years in retail operations, preferably in non-food categories.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of merchandising, inventory systems, and sales reporting.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer service orientation.
