Job Description

The Credit Sales Supervisor oversees credit-related sales operations, including customer account management, credit approvals, collections, and compliance. They ensure smooth execution of credit programs, support sales teams, and safeguard the company against financial risks while maximizing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Sales Operations

  • Supervise daily credit sales transactions and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
  • Monitor credit limits and customer account activity.

Customer Account Management

  • Oversee onboarding of new credit customers and documentation.
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries regarding credit terms, billing, and payments.
  • Support sales staff in explaining credit programs to customers.

Collections & Risk Management

  • Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Coordinate with finance and collections teams to minimize bad debt.
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve disputes promptly.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare reports on credit sales performance, outstanding balances, and collection efficiency.
  • Analyze credit sales trends and recommend improvements.

Team Supervision

  • Train and supervise credit sales staff on policies, systems, and customer service.
  • Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and evaluate performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with accounting, finance, and store operations to ensure accurate records.
  • Support promotional campaigns by integrating credit sales offers.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Experience: 35 years in credit sales, collections, or retail finance, with supervisory experience.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of credit management systems, ERP software, and MS Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, analytical thinking, communication, negotiation, and customer service orientation.
