About the Role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, documentation, assessment and delivery of building structures across a diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
• Design reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, masonry and timber structures.
• Assist with the design of high-rise and low-rise buildings, basements and excavation/shoring systems.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and provide engineering advice during construction.
• Investigate structural defects and assist with diagnostic and forensic engineering reports.
• Liaise with architects, builders, contractors, geotechnical consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and applicable regulations.
• Assist with project coordination from concept design through construction and certification.
• Contribute to practical, economical and constructible engineering solutions.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in structural/building engineering, preferably within an Australian consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Experience with residential, commercial or industrial building structures.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small engineering team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality engineering documentation.

Desirable Experience

Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:

• Post-tensioned concrete slabs.
• High-rise residential buildings.
• Basement structures and deep excavations.
• Shoring systems.
• Structural inspections and certification.
• Structural remediation and forensic investigations.
• Swimming pool structures.
• Structural engineering software and CAD/BIM platforms.
• NSW construction and approval processes.
