We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer with advanced Revit expertise to support U.S.-based residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in wood-frame structural design, BIM modeling, and construction documentation, with the ability to independently develop complete structural drawing packages from design development through permitting and construction phases.
This role requires a proactive professional with a solid understanding of U.S. building codes, construction standards, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Documentation
- Develop accurate and detailed 3D structural models using Revit.
- Prepare complete structural construction drawing packages for residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects.
- Produce structural plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and construction details.
- Develop construction documents from design development through permit and construction phases.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with applicable U.S. building codes, standards, and project requirements.
BIM Modeling & Coordination
- Utilize Revit to create, manage, and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate structural drawings with architectural, MEP, civil, and consultant disciplines to ensure consistency and constructability.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts through effective model coordination and quality control processes.
- Maintain project documentation standards and ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
Project Support
- Assist project teams during design development, permitting, and construction documentation phases.
- Review project requirements, specifications, and consultant information to ensure proper integration into structural drawings.
- Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support as needed.
- Ensure deliverables meet project schedules, quality standards, and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Revit with extensive experience in BIM modeling and construction documentation.
- Proven experience developing detailed 3D models and complete construction drawing packages.
- Strong understanding of U.S. building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
- Extensive knowledge of wood-frame structural design and U.S. wood construction methods.
- Experience preparing plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and construction details.
- Experience coordinating architectural, structural, MEP, and consultant drawings.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
