About The Job Structural Draftsperson
PURPOSE
The Draftsperson is responsible for undertaking the drawings assigned to that person and ensuring that the drawings meet the internal/external drafting standards, Austal quality standards, vessel general arrangement and specification, and are fit for purpose. The task needs to meet the drawing schedule, within the budgeted allocated hours.
The draftsman will provide support to the design team and production/projects for the design of the vessel from preliminary design through production and to delivery
Essential
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Technical drafting graduate, Vocational with structural drafting experience
- Good communication skills to coordinate with design teams both in written and spoken English.
- Understanding on Autocad software manipulation
Desirable
- 1 - 3+ Years relevant work experience, preferably in a shipbuilding industry;
- CAD drafting experience in a design office/shipyard
- Competence both 2D/3D Autocad
- Competent with MS Office, Word & Excel, outlook
