About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Structural Drafting Lead / Manager to take responsibility for the coordination, delivery, and quality of structural drafting outputs across multiple projects.
This position plays a key role in ensuring drawings are accurate, well-coordinated, and delivered in line with project timelines. You will also provide leadership to a mix of local and offshore drafting resources, helping to maintain consistency, efficiency, and high standards across all work.
The role is suited to someone who enjoys a blend of technical oversight, team coordination, and continuous improvement within a project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting Delivery & Oversight
- Lead the preparation and coordination of structural drafting outputs across active projects
- Review drawings prior to submission to ensure accuracy, coordination, and alignment with project requirements
- Work closely with engineers to translate design inputs into clear, buildable documentation
- Ensure drawing delivery aligns with agreed schedules and quality expectations
Team Coordination
- Manage and distribute drafting workload across local and offshore teams
- Track progress, output, and deadlines to support smooth project delivery
- Assist with onboarding and integration of new drafting team members
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to the drafting team
Standards & Development
- Establish and maintain drafting standards, templates, and documentation practices
- Improve and streamline workflows to increase efficiency and consistency
- Maintain a structured detail library for project use
- Support ongoing skill development and training across the team
Coordination & Support
- Act as a key point of coordination between engineers and drafting staff
- Support project planning and internal coordination requirements
- Assist in resolving drawing queries and RFIs as needed
Quality & Control
- Implement drawing review and QA processes across all deliverables
- Ensure consistency in documentation across all projects
- Proactively reduce errors, rework, and coordination issues
