About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly capable Structural Drafter to support an Australian-based client. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering precise, high-quality structural drawings across a range of projects.
You'll work closely with engineers, project managers, and design teams, ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their technical accuracy and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update detailed structural drawings across concrete, steel, timber, and masonry
- Interpret architectural and engineering plans to produce accurate and buildable documentation
- Ensure all drawings comply with Australian standards, codes, and project requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other drafters to maintain design consistency and accuracy
- Assist with clash detection and coordination across structural, architectural, and services drawings
- Maintain and update documentation throughout the design and construction lifecycle
- Support quality assurance through drawing reviews and adherence to best practices
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Structural Drafter within construction or engineering environments
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (or similar drafting tools)
- Solid understanding of Australian building codes and structural drafting standards
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering sketches and calculations into detailed drawings
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant qualification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field
